Our original ports were Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico. Our revised itinerary includes Amber Cove; Half Moon Cay and Bimini.
I have visited the original itinerary numerous times but I have never been to any of these replacement ports so I am very happy with the new itinerary.
I knew that Amber Cove and Half Moon Cay were private islands run by the cruise line but honestly hadn't heard much of the Bimini Islands so a little research was in order. Bimini is the westernmost district of the Bahamas and comprises a chain of islands located about 80 kilometers due east of Miami. Bimini is the closest point in the Bahamas to the mainland United States and approximately 210 km west-northwest of Nassau.
